"But I don't want to go among mad people," Alice remarked. "Oh, you can't help that," said the Cat: "we're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad."
"How do you know I'm mad?" said Alice. "You must be," said the Cat, "or you wouldn't have come here."

Just like The Amazing Race

...but without the fabulous prizes at the end.

It is 9:30 pm Sunday night and I am writing from a Holiday Inn Express room near the Dallas/ Fort Worth airport. Grant and I have been trying to get home since we first arrived at the Tucson airport yesterday at 9 am. Yes, folks, that was 36 hours ago and we are still not home. Yesterday we waited for 6 hours before United finally decided that they couldn't fix our broken plane. We rebooked with US Airways and went back to the house in Tucson. Today, we had yet another broken plane and although they found us another one, it wasn't in time to make our connection to Toronto. We went to Phoenix anyway, in hopes of finding another alternative, but oddly enough, there seems to be little call for flights to Toronto in Phoenix. Our absolute best option was to fly to DFW, stay overnight and fly out the next morning. We will arrive in TO at 2:50 pm (as long as the plane isn't broken, a mere 39 hours later than we had planned.

Damn. I think we might be eliminated on this leg.

Oh, geez. That stinks. At least you'll get those HIE cinnamon rolls in the morning.

But I have it on good authority this round is NOT an elimination round! Whooo! Just be sure to wear all your clothes at once.
